This weeks set is a special one. When we first shot this very limited set a couple of years ago, it was due to the inspiration that we found through the amazing art of Michael Turner. At first we weren't really sure if we wanted to post only a 11 photo set, so we kept it waiting for us to figure out how we would use it.
And then, On July 27th, 2008, Michael Turner passed away from complications of bone cancer. This was a very sad day and huge loss for comic fans everywhere. He would be remembered for his amazing art, kind soul, and upbeat personality even while dealing with cancer. Always happy to sign, always smiling, always there for his fans, he was one of a kind.
After his passing, it seemed too soon to post this photo set, so again we waited. Two weeks ago while attending Wonder Con in San Francisco, we saw the Aspen Comics booth there (Michael Turner's company) and were reminded of his comic spirit and artwork. He lives on through his work and will always be remembered.
After the con, we knew that it was time to post this set: 11 photos of "Syn" as "Wonder Woman", inspired by this Michael Turner Wonder Woman Cover.
